Local anesthesia

• is a matter of course for all procedures
• is an injection used to numb teeth, gums or mucous membranes
• the injection is preceded by a numbing of the place of injection by surface anesthetic gel, after that the injection is painless

General anesthesia

• is designated for very sensitive patients or for extensive procedures
• the patient is put into dull consciousness with the help of sedatives. This state is very close to light sleep which makes it possible for us to work with the patient
• the patient does not remember the entire procedure, does not feel any pain
• the whole procedure is under the control of an anesthesiologist
• this is an ambulatory procedure, after which the patient is allowed to go home
